Binkley House is seeking a Part Time Shelter Residential Specialist who is mature, responsible and able to positively & appropriately guide youth experiencing difficulties with life transitions and crisis. Supervises, monitors and positively guides behavior of Shelter residents. Includes coordinating activities and games, monitoring contact with visitors, providing rewards, redirection during teachable moments and remedial action according to behavior modification program, directing chores, supervising and preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition, de-escalating problem situations, assisting residents with scholastic assignments and daily living skills, and conducting security and bed checks. Must be at least 21 years of age. High School diploma or GED. Must have valid driver's license. Bachelor degree in Social work or Human Service related field strongly preferred. Previous experience working with at-risk adolescents or crisis setting strongly preferred. Availability on evening shift (2-10:30PM) and weekends required. Overnight availability desirable.
